How to Setup an InTouchDX Time Clock

This article will detail the information needed and the current process for setting up a Kronos InTouchDX Time Clock.

There's no need to setup the specific internet connection of the clock. Just make sure it's plugged into a live Ethernet port. The clocks are DHCP by default and don't need to have a static IP assigned to them. The clocks are also POE (Power Over Ethernet) capable so as long as the Ethernet is POE, then you won't even need the supplied power adapter. I usually install it anyways just in case the Ethernet able gets unplugged on the other end.

You will need the following information before beginning the time clock setup. To get the specific device ID and Passcode, email either Meredith Keller or Kyla Goana from the HR team.

a. The Device ID from UKG, which is 6 digit code.

b. The Device Password from UKG, also a 6 digit code.

c. Our tenant ID, which is "6182274"

d. Our UKG server URL; "intouch60.saashr.com"

e. The current date and time.

f. The default maintenance password; "115190"

1. To begin the clock setup process, simply plug it into an Ethernet cable with POE and let it boot up. If it doesn't start up, that means the Ethernet is not POE, which means you need to get the power supply and plug that in as well.

2. Once the initial screen of the clock loads, it will attempt to enter the Quick Setup process. If it does, skip to step 4.

3. To enter the setup process, press the Maintenance Mode button (or the physical button under the home button), and enter the default maintenance password. From there, select Edit Settings and then Quick Setup.

4. The first screen of the Quick Setup is the language selection. Select "English - USA" or the equivalent and press "Next".

5. Next, input the current date and time in the respective boxes. Don't change the NTP settings, just select "Next" once the date and time is entered.

6. The next screen will have you set a new maintenance mode password and verify it. Enter the password "Olympus#1". Don't change any of the options on this tab, just go to the next one.

7. On this next panel, we need to enter the Device ID and Device Password from UKG. This enables the clock to log into the service once it goes online. It will NOT work or connect without this info. Once both are entered, press "Next".

8. The next screen is for setting Ethernet or wireless settings, we don't want to change anything on this one, just hit "Next" at the bottom.

9. Here is where we enter the Server URL and Tenant ID. To enter our server ID, tap on the current server name and then press the option to "Enter URL Manually". Then enter "intouch60.saashr.com" for the server URL and "6182274" for the tenant ID. For the rest of the settings, the port should be set to "443" and the HTTPS setting to "Off". The port and HTTPS settings should be the default so you shouldn't have change them.

Once finished entering all the info, press "Finish".

10. Once finished, you will be taken to a confirmation screen. At the bottom, select "Communications Test" and be sure it passes. If it fails for any reason, select "Edit Settings" and run the Quick Setup again to correct the problem.
