How to Set Voicemail Message in Teams

This article will explain how to set your voicemail up for Teams. 

 

1. In Teams, access the settings menu from the three dots up by your user profile picture. 

 

 

2. Inside the settings menu, head over to the Calls menu.

 

 

3. Once in the Calls menu, scroll down until you see the Record a greeting option.

 

 

 

4. Press the Record a greeting button and Teams will then call the voicemail system. 


5. Once in the voicemail system, the system will read the option for you. They are as follows. 

 

Press 1 to listen to your voicemail messages

 

Press 2 to set record your personal voicemail greeting 

 

Press 0 to repeat the menu options

 

Press * to exit. 

 

6. You will need to Press 2 to record a new voicemail greeting. Once you press 2, it will beep and start recording. 

 

7. Once you have finished recording your message, press 1 to accept that greeting or press 2 to re-record the message. 

 

8. If you don't want to record a message using your actual voice, Teams offers a text-to-speech option instead where the system will read a specific message to the caller. To set that up, we need to scroll down in the Calls menu and select "Set up text-to-speech customized greeting option". 

 

9. To use this option, simply type in the message you'd like and then click Save.
